On December 4, 1894, Robert Louis Stevenson is buried the day after he passes away at his home in Samoa. He is carried by fellow residents on the island to Mount Vaea, where they bury him on a spot overlooking the sea on land donated by the British Acting Vice Consul. His work leaves a collection of beloved and classic adventures like the much adapted Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
