On November 19, 1998, the United States House of Representatives Judiciary Committee begins impeachment hearings against U.S. President Bill Clinton over what would be called the Monica Lewinsky scandal. This incident continues to fuel debate over the concepts of consent, harassment, and slut-shaming. While these debates continue on, Amy Lynn Reed’s The Nowhere Girls tells a story for young women needing to think of how regular people like themselves can survive and support each other in the face of sexual predator-supporting world.
